African Gold Verdite, Zimbabwe

My finest quality specimen of brilliantly bold green African Verdite from Zimbabwe. Also known as African Gold due to the great reverence the indigenous peoples have towards this mineral. To me no other stone captures the essence of Nature like Verdite. If I was asked to go on a Safari the first thing that would flash to mind would be vibrant green jungle like colors that are reminiscent of this stone. This Cabochon has terrific color saturation and is partially translucent with backlighting. Metaphysically speaking Verdite contains the Spirit of Adventure. It encourages one''s own zest for life. It is a stone of strength, honesty and reliability. It activates the first four chakas. It is helpful in combating dizziness and for balancing the circulatory and respiratory systems. It is particularly useful in relationships to get to the root of a problem such as issues involving distrust. This stone is a very powerful activator of the Kundalini energies.
