Black Rainbow Moonstone Sunstone, Tanzania

Extremely rare Black Rainbow Moonstone Sunstone from Tanzania! So precious and rare. This was from a one time find around 2018. The find produced a limited amount of material most of which had golden, yellow and orange color flashes in poorly defined lines of Hematite and Ilvaite. It was only a small percentage of the find that contained well defined lines of Hematite that flashed all the colors of the rainbow. It is reminiscent of Rainbow Lattice Sunstone from Australia but unlike the Australian Sunstone the lines are not just on the surface but goes all the way through the crystal making it an ideal stone for facetting. This is above average quality for this material. It is facet grade material with the Schiller running through the entire specimen. It also has a silvery Moonstone flash to it. Look around online and I think you will find it challenging to find specimens of this material.
